Freeze

*I suggest to listen the song while reading

-freeze- kygo

Is your first time listening this song. Lying on your bed, you gaze at the ceiling, reminiscent of a horizon - a uniform expanse of color with the lights of your room softly illuminating the space. It feels like a serene and tranquil night, accompanied by warm weather.

As you contemplate the rapid passage of life, memories of yesterday, recent weeks, past months, and previous years flood your mind. While you cannot recall every moment, a medley of emotions emerges. You recall the first time your mother left you at school, the nervous anticipation of a competition that ended with your victory, and the profound experience of expressing your feelings to someone else. Cherished and somber moments intertwine within your thoughts.

You feel the insignificance of your presence in the vastness of the universe's existence. You sense that one day your loved ones will be gone, and perhaps you will find yourself seated in a wheelchair, observing young children returning from school, while your own moments on this earth have passed. Even if these events do not transpire, you cannot escape the nagging fear that, as Kygo says, "A part of me still feels like nothing ever lasts."

He asks if the current moment could be frozen, but sadly, you cannot halt time's relentless progression. You are merely a passenger on this roller coaster of life, and even if your mind wanders elsewhere, the people in that carriage will continue their journeys. Despite your resistance, everything moves too swiftly.

You are lying over the grass staring at the moon and the stars. Then, the song reaches its crescendo, and from a harmonious surge, you feel a profound connection with the universe. An explosion of feelings. If everything were to end now, you would be content. There are still numerous goals to achieve, but until this point, you have wholeheartedly given yourself to others. Yet, deep down, you yearn for someone, and your thoughts are consumed by them. Your body feels heavy, and you find solace in your comfort zone, surrounded by family at home, free from responsibilities and tasks. It resembles a child spending a Saturday evening with their grandparents.

But just as you are about to surrender, you recall the importance of hustle, perseverance, and focus. You awaken, even after months of not knowing about the person who occupies your thoughts, you feel the songs deserves to be shared and you want her to remember you through its sweet melodies. Therefore, you decide to send her this piece of art.
